Webinar: LASER THERAPY FOR ACUTE AND CHRONIC WOUNDS

£6.00

Laser Therapy (Photobiomodulation) has been successfully used for wound care for decades. This lecture aims to review the benefits of advanced Laser Therapy on acute, infected and non-healing lesions, also introducing the science behind the therapy; it is aimed at wound care specialists, podiatrists, and medical professionals.

Class IV Laser Therapy has proven successful on a variety of wounds – from pressure ulcers to amputation sites and surgical incision sites: it accelerates post-surgical healing, minimises scarring and infection, and activates the healing process in diabetic foot ulcers and pressure sores. K-Laser Therapy has been provided by the Diabetic Foot Clinic within the Foot Health Department at St. Thomas’ hospital in London since 2013. The outcomes on Diabetic Foot Ulcers were published on a 15 impact factor medical journal, ‘Diabetes Care’, in 2015.

The webinar is hosted by Ms Antonella Chierchia, Laser Therapy Consultant, lecturer and researcher, at Guys’ and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.
