Photobiomodulation laser therapy is proven to enhance perfusion to bone and joint structures, stimulation of osteoblasts and chondrocytes, and reduce the inflammatory cytokines and provide nerve stimulation. Laser therapy as part of a multi-modal therapy can be very effective for patients with osteoarthritis and rheumatic joint disorders. This lecture will look in depth at the mechanism of laser photobiomodulation action, treatment protocols, published papers and case studies will be reviewed with the latest core science and clinical research.
